David has worked with hundreds of families and individuals to create and stay on top of their estate plans. The joy (and challenge!) of his work is to help clients provide for and protect their loved ones, to leave a meaningful legacy with family (and charitable impact as clients may desire), to minimize family conflict, to protect assets, and to reduce taxes – all within the framework of the opportunities, complexities, and idiosyncrasies found in most families. This work encompasses both the technical and profound, helping clients prepare for death and incapacity.
David serves as trustee and fiduciary working with clients’ heirs, including children, grandchildren, and charitable beneficiaries. David also enjoys estate settlement work, helping families during what is often a challenging time. This includes completing estate tax returns and navigating often Byzantine probate matters.
David has been practicing law in Massachusetts since 2002. Before becoming an attorney, David served as a nonprofit administrator for over a decade, where he developed a love for systems and process! David is a graduate of Harvard College and Northeastern University School of Law.
Over the years David he has served in numerous nonprofit director and officer roles, including New Hope Tutorials, the Arlington Soccer Club, and many religious organizations. On his “most-grateful-for list” are David’s wife Eva, with whom he gets to work, the direction his children Timothy and Elizabeth are heading in life, and the team at Pathway Law with whom he gets to spend his days. David is also a former shepherd and bee-keeper.
