David is a founder and partner in the firm, created with the vision of attorney as legal counselor and trusted advisor. David has worked with hundreds of families and individuals to create and stay on top of their estate plans. The joy (and challenge!) of his work is to help clients provide for and protect their loved ones, minimize family conflict, protect assets, and reduce taxes – all within the framework of the opportunities, complexities, and idiosyncrasies found in many families. David serves as trustee and fiduciary working with clients’ heirs, including children, grandchildren, and charitable beneficiaries. David also enjoys estate settlement work, helping families during what is often a challenging time. This includes completing estate tax returns and navigating often Byzantine probate matters.
In his work, David also advises non-profit leaders, providing counsel in the areas of nonprofit formation, reorganization and dissolution, exempt applications, governance, risk management, and planned giving. Before practicing law, David served as a nonprofit administrator for over a decade.
David is a graduate of Harvard College and Northeastern University School of Law. He has been practicing law in Massachusetts since 2002. David is actively involved with his local church congregation. Over the years he has served in numerous director and officer roles for many nonprofit organizations, including New Hope Tutorials, the Arlington Soccer Club, and several church and missions organizations. On his “most proud of and grateful list” is David’s wife Eva with whom he gets to work, his children Timothy and Elizabeth who are both in college, and the family’s 12-year adventure in homeschooling. David is also a former shepherd and bee-keeper.
